COVID 19 Procedures and Protocols

COVID-19 is a serious issue in LA County and SPA Group is following appropriate procedures and protocols to keep our clients, families and employees safe.


- All of our employees have been fully vaccinated.

- We are certified as compliant with LA County Health Department Protocols

- We maintain consistent social distancing

- We use approved PPE equipment

- We allow only one family in the offices at one time.

- We disinfect between clients/families.

- We are at or below 30% of maximum occupancy at all times.

- If there is an exposure from a client, we follow LA CDPH guidelines for cleaning and self-isolation.

- Our building is LA CDPH complaint as well, with sanitization stations, distancing procedures for elevators, toilets and public areas.

- The common areas are disinfected multiple times per day.

- We follow test publisher and APA/NASP guidelines for psychological evaluations with children to maintain standardization protocols while maintaining infection safety.


In Office Procedures for Testing: All persons in the building, are required to:

- Follow social distancing guidelines for LA County (signs are posted)

- Wear a mask at all times while in hallways, bathrooms, waiting room, elevator, etc.

- Observe posted limits regarding number of persons allowed in toilets and elevators


If you or your child cannot follow LA County Dept Public Health and office guidelines for COVID you must postpone your testing and discuss alternative methods of evaluation with Dr. Simun.


Upon arrival, Parents will be asked to complete a questionnaire about any possible exposures to COVID 19 or symptoms of infection.

Those with exposure, significant risk factors or active symptoms will be rescheduled and not be seen.


Parents and clients will have their temperature taken prior to entry.

Those with elevated temperatures will be rescheduled and not be seen.


Observations:

School observations are continuing on a case-by-case basis.

- Children on distance learning will typically have a distance observation.

- Students with in-person schooling may be observed in school, as the school permits

- In-person observation at home may be approved on a case by case basis
