Dr. Simun is a clinical neuropsychologist, specializing in children through young adults. She has been evaluating children and teens for 30 years. She began her assessment career in 1989 as a school psychologist. She is licensed in California as a Psychologist (Clinical) and and Educational Psychologist. She presumes competence and strives to find the strengths in every child. She specializes in complex differential diagnosis and complex forensic cases. She has extensive experience with the IEP process, Fair Hearings for Regional Center, civil litigation and Due Process Hearings. She has been certified as an expert in assessment in multiple states and in federal court. She presents regularly at national, regional and local conferences she sponsors research through her clinic and actively trains doctoral level students from a range of universities in Southern California. She also has experience with university accommodations, 504 Plans, and College Board Accommodations. She maintains active assocations with American Psychological Association Div 40, National Association of School Psychologists, Autism Society of America, and others. She trains public service agencies in Special Education issues.
